I typically don't write about patients I see, because I already have to live through medical school every day. You really expect me to talk about it more when I'm at home? Ugh.
OK, just kidding.
All names--medical and otherwise--have been changed to protect the innocent.
If you are wondering, yes, this also means that most of my friends and all of the men in my dating stories have pseudonyms. This has led to a chronic fear that I am accidentally going to call someone by his or her fake blog name in real life. Mercifully, this has not actually happened…yet. Details about medically related situations have been changed, dating scenarios have not.
If you came to this blog to seek medical advice, you will be disappointed to find out that I am not a doctor.
After reading the first page of posts, though, I'm sure you have already realized this. If you have not, please note that medical students, especially those who only talk about their dog or their dates on their blog (ahem), should not be sought out for medical advice.
Please consult your own physician for medical advice.
Oh, and as you may have noticed, I am dating a lawyer. Don't think that the issue of legality, libel, and my blog haven't come up. I try to be respectful and anonymous, but just in case, I let him read every single entry I write.
