The Lawyer finishing his big case (Yay!)

One of the partners telling him it was time for a vacation (Umm...we don't need to be told twice.)

Machu Picchu being on the list of places we want to go/Helpful med. student friends who have already been to Peru helping us route a trip/Cheap off-season tickets

Vacation!
Only downside?
It seems that The Lawyer is going to be stuck with this crazy person for eight days.
Oh well. Not my problem.

Have a fantastic time!
This is awesome especially the last picture. That chick sure looks nuts ;-). Have an awesome trip. Machu Picchu is on de bucket list!
Congratulations! That is amazing, I am glad you are going. Enjoy:-)
Wow! Sounds awesome! Hope you both have a great time.
Two nerds in a pod, oh I mean two peas in a pod:-) Enjoy your time away.
Hey Red, on the way to Macchu Picchu, there's a little village in the valley called Ollantaytambó, it's very cute and also has ruins to explore. You can take a van there early in the morning, spend a few hours walking around, have lunch, and catch the train to Macchu Picchu in the afternoon... :)
Hey Red, this might be a little late, but if you haven't made it there yet, on your way to Machu Picchu, there's a little village called Ollantaytambo. You can get a van there from Cuzco early in the morning, spend a few hours exploring the village and the ruins, have lunch, and catch the afternoon train to Aguas Calientes. Totally worth it!
Also, once in Machu Picchu, you should definitely go up to Huayna Picchu, however, if you see a sign that says "Gran Caverna", do NOT take it, unless you feel like climbing down and then back up something ridiculous like 13,000 stone steps. Seriously.

Live Life Without Fear- Thanks! Glad I checked the blog. We're flying to Cuzco tomo!
Sorry I posted twice, I thought the first comment had not gone through...
Have fun tomorrow!!! Also, take snacks. They say you can't, but they don't actually mind. If you go super early when they open, you can have a breakfast picnic with a fantastic view... :)
Thank you again! We built in a day and a half for altitude acclimation and guess who is using oxygen every hour? :/ I'm hoping I feel better by tomorrow. Our Machu Pichu tickets are for Monday.
Have fun!! I've always wanted to see Machu Pichu. Can't wait to see the pictures and read the stories :)
