Tag, You're It!

This weekend, Dolce Vita at I am, therefore, I think nominated me for a “One Lovely Blog” award, which has left me THRILLED.

Not only is this my first blog award, but she also said that I was funny (exact word: "hilarious") which provided more positive reinforcement than I probably need.  More bad jokes and meaningless posts coming your way, because someone said I was funny...bwahahahaha!

As part of my nomination, I'm supposed to nominate three more people, whose blogs I think you'd enjoy.  Since most of my readers are medical types suffering through the same existence as me (Sorry, that was Step 1 talking) who read many of the same blogs, my nominations are all non-medical.  So, go forth and expand your horizons/RSS feeds!

1.  Jancy’s Words- Janice is my old roommate and basically, she is awesome.  We met through Craig’s list, which can be a potentially scary and horrific roommate match site, but we turned out to be instant friends. I had dinner with her last week, and every time I see her, I have that experience where you feel like you can say whatever’s on your mind, because the other person just “gets” you.  She is also a public school teacher in Virginia, and per her awesome self, writes a column for the Examinerhttp://www.examiner.com/k12-10-in-arlington/janice-chong

2.  Michele from Short Girl, Long Island- I know Michele from elementary school and later, a Facebook reconnection.  She grew up in the same neighborhood as The Lawyer and I, before moving back to New York with her family. (So YES, that makes another friend from the same area in Florida.  WE ARE SO GOING TO RULE THE WORLD!)  Anyway, Michele always has the latest on fashion and music, which are two areas which the med. school deprives me of.  I like living vicariously. Plus, she always has amazing discount alerts and giveaways on her site. (And don't pretend that you don't like free stuff, because you totally do.)

3.  Angie- I can't even remember how I found Angie's blog, Just Shy of a "Y," but it's one of my favorite daily reads.  She hails from Texas and writes regularly about her adventures with cooking and her kids.  I feel like I know Angie's family personally from her blog, and the thing that I love most about her is how positive she is.  Medicine can be a very negative profession and I constantly feel like I want to aspire to Angie's level of happiness.  She's grateful for the little things in life, and it shows on her blog.

So, go!  Enjoy! Make new blog friends!  (I'll be here in my little cubby hole of darkness, clutching my First Aid.)

EDIT:  I forgot to tell you lovely nominees that you're supposed to nominate three more people and pass it on!  Your turn!

CONGRATS! You deserve it, friend!!

Now whoa there, girlie, don't give your followers high expectations for my "public diary", as Young puts it. Your blog is WAY more entertaining than mine.

Thanks for the shout-out! I'm so glad you didn't turn out creepy and all Craigslist-y, too. :)
