We're Here!

Well, hello, internet.

We are here in Bermuda, and I am writing this from my balcony where yes, The Lawyer's promise of stable WiFi has been confirmed. It's been raining on and off, as denoted by the dreary skies, but the hotel--The Fairmont Princess Hamilton--is beautiful, clean, and actually gave us the waterfront room that we requested (I'm looking at you, Hyatt Regency).

Balcony view...it's not that dark outside anymore.  This was immediately after the monsoon stopped.

I'm told that it's Bermuda Day here--a national holiday to celebrate the first day of summer. We have yet to venture out, because The Lawyer is finishing up some work on the balcony, but supposedly there are parades and general revelry to look forward to tonight.

Some of the local kids playing on the mini golf course outside of our room.  Look at them all dressed up for Bermuda Day!  Adorable!

Other than that, did you see that I am facing the pool AND the bay? There is also a ferry that runs from our hotel to the sister hotel across the bay, where we can use the beach, towels, cabanas, etc. (So, that hotel would be oceanfront, whereas ours is bayfront...But that was intentional. See earlier comments about stable internet for Boards studying being a priority!)

Pool and ocean in one trip? Please and thank you, Bermuda.
