Conversations With The Lawyer

Well, hello! I am alive!  I'm just in the middle of finals and have nothing interesting or substantive to post, unless of course, you'd like to hear my super cool stories about HIV retroviral drugs and their interactions!

No?  FINE.

--

Last night:  After using this amazing face cream that he let me use, which suspiciously had the label removed, but for which he said was his "mom's" brand...

Me:  Your mom's face cream is amazing!  My skin is so soft!  Can you tell me where to order?  I want to get some for my mom for Christmas.

Him:  Dude, stop using it on your face!  It's skin toning and tightening.  I experimented with it because of my skin and kinda got attached to it...it might be bad for all I know!

Him:  It's literally being marketed as a pregnant lady cream now!

Him:  I use it because I'm not scared, but I don't really know if it's safe.

Him:  And I didn't use that exact one from my mom.  I found an ingredient in one of hers and researched and started seeing what others had it.  It seemed too complicated to explain, but clearly, I've created a monster.

Me:  (undeterred) So basically...you will send me the link?  :)

Him:  Haha, yes.

Does anyone else find it hilarious that The Lawyer is buying and using experimental face cream from the internet and worse, that he's trying to keep his skin secrets to himself?  (I'm telling you, this face cream was AMAZING.)

For inquiring minds who want to know, The Lawyer has agreed to let me post semi-professional pictures for all of you (by "all of you," I really mean my sister, Janice, and Ev!  Hello, ladies!) to see.  They are coming after finals are over next week.  Get excited!

Please let me know what the product is because I'm in the market of a good eye cream for sure. I thought this was a funny post because my hubby has eye/wrinkle cream that he loves. He is really concerned about two wrinkles right above his eye brows. I don't notice it but he does. However when I put all of my make-up on I don't notice the crow’s feet around my eyes because I don't practice smiling after I get it all on. Then I saw pictures with me smiling and all the wrinkles around my eyes had me horrified. Either way I was going to try either Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Eye Cream OR Oil of Olay Regenerist Eye Lifting Serum. I just haven't decided which to buy for myself for Christmas yet, but if your "guy friend" has a better product I'd love to hear what it is.

Zazzy- He hasn't divulged the coveted information yet, but something about this exchange just cracked me up. First of all, he was super self-conscious that he admitted to having "face products." Then, the fact that he had researched them online and bought some secret formulation intended for pregnant women was just hilarious! I think he knows how amazing it is, which is why he's being suspicious about sharing the link with me! But for real, I used it twice when I was at his condo, and I touched my face last night (with no makeup or face products) and it was the softest and smoothest I've ever felt. I will tackle him to the ground if I have to, to find out what this stuff is.

Would love to know what he's using... and this is not all that atypical, my boyfriend spends far more time getting ready than I do... yesterday it took him an hour to shower and get dressed. And all we did, all day, was sit at my dining room table and study- but he had to have his hair perfectly gelled...
good luck on your exams!! Just remember that learning it now will help loads on step 1 in june :)

So did you have your CT scan? Are you all better? I've been praying that it's nothing serious.

C- Thanks for the luck, and yes, I know that studying hard now will help me later!

Jancy- Congrats! I will be emailing you soon for the update!

Miss Chevious- I didn't go for the CT scan yet. I KNOW...what's wrong with me?! I fell into med. student busyness again. The pain stopped and I was all, "Wee! I'm not dying anymore!" But seriously, I'm going next week after finals.

Have he told what the cream is yet? It does sound amazing. Also can you do a close up of your skin so that way I can see it without you identifying yourself? I would love to see what this does as my skin is starting to age and I need to do something ASAP before I'm 30 with wrinkles!
